  1. What is BCCI Telemedicine platform?

BCCI Telemedicine application serves as a bridge between the domestic cricket players along with their SSM providers and the NCA SSM team for accessing quality clinical care, injury prevention and performance enhancement programs set by BCCI.

  1. How does Telemedicine work?

It will work as central platform for multiple SSM specialists working at various levels in the organisation to collaborate in order to provide standardised SSM solutions across the organisation.

  1. What are the benefits of providing telemedicine service?

Telemedicine will make easy accessibility of quality SSM services across various SSM providers, resulting in faster clinical decision making, clinical referrals, treatments, injury prevention, and performance enhancement solutions.

  1. Does it work on iOS and android system?

Yes, the application works on both Android and iOS.

 

  1. How are telemedicine appointments scheduled?
  2. Currently, only the player’s domestic team’s SSM provider will be able to book an appointment on behalf of the player.
  3. If you are a first-time user, register yourself by entering the required information.
  4. Select the SSM expert you wish to consult after logging in the app.
  5. Click "Book Appointment" to schedule a meeting with the selected expert.
  6. Pick a date & time slot you wish to book the appointment.
  7. Fill the pre-call clinical questionnaire pertaining to your query and book an appointment.

  1. Do users need to download any app or software to join telemedicine?

Yes, you need to download BCCI TeleConsult user application from the Google Play or App Store.

  1. How will I confirm my appointment?

Both the player and his/her domestic team’s SSM provider will receive and email and a text message with the appointment confirmation after booking the appointment.

  1. Can I reschedule/cancel my appointment?

Only the player’s local SSM provider can reschedule or cancel the appointment. Re-scheduling and cancellation of appointments will be communicated via email and text message as well.

  1. What are the prerequisites  required for my teleconsultation?

The pre-call questionnaire needs to be completed before the consultation i.e. at the time of booking the appointment.

  1. What if I am late for an appointment?

An alert will be issued informing you that the appointment time has expired. If the expert continues your appointment, you can still join the call.

  1. Is the information shared on the telemedicine platform secure?

The information shared through telemedicine is absolutely confidential and protected as per regulatory standards.

  1. Will I get a prescription or report after the call?

Upon completion of the teleconsultation with the relevant expert, the user will receive a digital report via email.

  1. When and how frequently can I book an appointment?

Appointments can be scheduled till professional slots are available.

  1. Who should accompany me during the teleconsultation?

In most scenarios, both the player and his/her domestic team SSM provider should be available during the teleconsultation.
